PRAYERS AT THE ALTAR, November

PLEASE OFFER PRAYERS FOR…

…JOE AND MARY HESS’S 40TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY (from their children and grandchildren)

….THANKSGIVING for God’s continued blessings for the Crystal Lake South Gators Football Team’s players, coaches & fans, as they advance down state in the playoffs.”

…VETERAN’S DAY: O Lord Jesus Christ, You have known the pain of Your battle with the old evil Foe as You won for us our salvation. Give us grateful hearts for the freedoms we enjoy through Your grace and mercy. Help us treasure our spiritual freedom from the power of sin, and death, and devil, and help us to praise You for our liberty in You. Teach us to be thankful for our freedoms in this blessed land, freedoms which were won and preserved for us by the sacrifices of our armed forces in times past. Help us to honor their memory with a loyal citizenship and a readiness to defend freedom everywhere. Bless those serving in our armed forces today. Give comfort to the families who remember the death of those who gave their lives for our country. Be with the families who have loved ones putting themselves in harm’s way even today, to preserve our freedom. Sustain those veterans who carry the scars of war, so that we might enjoy the health of peace and freedom. Grant peace to our land and to our world, so that Your Good News may be freely proclaimed and believed, so that more people may march under the banner of Your Cross. Amen.
